BIOGRAPHY______________________ 
 

Jon Husiar has been playing guitar for over 20 years now. Being inspired at an early age by such unique players as Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Edward Van Halen and Steve Vai without a doubt collectively helped Husiar enable a persona all his own.

During Husiar’s tentative years he had the absolute pleasure studying with such great local guitar virtuosos as Michael Lummio and Daniel Roque. Husiar also attended music theory classes in school taught by now Purdue University Professor Jay Gephart. All had an enormous impact on Husiar evolving ingeniously as a guitar player and as a musician.

Shortly thereafter, Husiar acquired a passion for the art of recording. Thus after graduating high school, Husiar enrolled at Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois to further his studies in Sound Engineering. There he studied the physics of sound among other sound related courses and studies.

Throughout Husiar’s musical journey he has shared his unpresumptuous soulfully-funky, bluesy-rock style of zealous guitar playing with countless bands.
Being a veteran of the Chicago music scene Husiar has had the pleasure to recorded with and/or play along side such great artists as Carl Burnett (Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Life Before Midi), Kenny Kinsey (The Kinsey Report), Philip Sayce (Melissa Etheridge, Philip Sayce Group), Kent Van Der Kolk (Danny McGuiness, Satya Graha), Jerry Porter (Buddy Guy), Jay Will (Troy Petty), Scott Pazera (Scott Pazera Implosion, Rachel Yamagata), Corey Dennison (Carl Weathersby, Vital Support), Jon Matthews (Boxcar Willy, Ramblin' Hearts) and lets not forget his most recent stint with Chicago's premier all original folk/rock act Sticky Tongue Farm.

In recent years, Husiar also had the pleasure of working closely with one of the leading producers/engineers in the Chicagoland area, "The Colonel" Joshua Shapera (R. Kelly, Aaliyah, Bill Dickens, Sonia Dada, Disturbed & Veruca Salt).

Jon Husiar has truly evolved as a guitarist as well as a musician over his 20 year span. By opening himself up to an array of different music over these years, Husiar has become a well rounded player in assortment of genres. Although, Husiars true passion unquestionably lies with in the soulfully-funky, bluesy-rock style he's been significantly noted for.

At this time, Husiar has been keeping busy by working on a few side projects as well as writing and recording demos of newer music. Husiar hopes that these demos will later turn into a future release that will feature an array of talent ranging from his close friends to newer musicians Husiar has yet to work with.
